Our church mission statement reads:
Grounded in the Gospel, we gather to grow in the Gospel, and scatter to spread the Gospel to the glory of God.
We are Grounded in the Gospel.
Our identity is from, in, and for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His Gospel grounds us as the truth by which we understand who we are, how we are to live, and for what we are to live.
(Romans 1.16-17; 16.25; Gal. 1.8; Eph. 1.13; Phil. 1.27; 1 Tim. 3.14-16)
We Gather to Grow in the Gospel.
To more completely understand, love, live, and proclaim the Gospel, we, as Gospel-people meet together regularly in a variety of ways for fellowship, sanctification, and ministry so that we might grow in Christ.
(Hebrews 10.19-25; Ephesians 4.10-16; I Corinthians 14.12; 1 Thessalonians 5.11)
We Scatter to Spread the Gospel.
As Christ’s ambassadors, we work hard to consistently and creatively engage the world around us in order to proclaim the Gospel in word and deed so that others might believe the Gospel.
(2 Cor. 5.1-21; Matthew 28.18-20; Acts 1.8)
We do this for the Glory of God.
God loves His glory and the gospel displays His grace for His praise. Our focus in the Gospel is not the worthiness of men but the wonder of God who saves sinful men for Himself.
(Eph 1.3-6; Rom. 11.33-36; John 12.27-28)
